New blog Environment

Monday February 9, 2009

Time for a new environment for my blog, my dear webmaster determined. So here we go. And it seems of course work. Thank you Michael for your patience with me - and my late phone call :-)

Otherwise, began the day with the Uppsala Nya Tidning called and woke me up. And scared me half insane. The journalist wanted to do an interview for a talk I will keep in Öregrund on Wednesday. It was just that she told me to keep it on Thursday. And who am I to say to a journalist. But a little worried I became so after the interview finally hit me on the computer and found that it actually was, I remembered that right. Called back to Uppsala so that the magazine would be right.

After the call, it was time for my editor Andreas to call. He wanted to pass some images that could be the cover of the next book. So we did a while but did well not really clear. Fixed in this position I began to realize that I should take care of the laundry - and eat - and some others. Would it also be on the job at 14 for a course.

It all ended with that I did with half of it I would. Missed lunch (obra) but did get the laundry in the machine (had to call Niklas who hung it for me) and petade in a new load in the washing machine before I had to pull the bus.

On the subway I read a terribly strange book entitled "Proof of Extra Terrestrial Intelligence. The Cape Canaveral Apollo Program Chronicles "a Jim Oglesby as the title promises to judge evidence that the Apollo program was followed (haunted?) Of ET and his followers. But no such evidence was not the book, just a bunch of strange observations of the Trustee Oglesby claimed himself to have had.

Well, when the book was finished read so called one of the foreign editors from work and wondered if I could fix a basis for a graphic on how the fires in Australia occur. It was to throw over the phone to find a Fire Protection Engineer with the necessary skills because I was right tight with the time before the course would start. And then straight to a graphic artist who would do the job themselves.

Well, now there was a video which you can see in today's DN. And a text on the fires, too.

Read husorganet New Scientist on the evening curve. Always lots of interesting reading. The cover entices with an article about how our brains are designed to create a god. The I have not read yet, but expect many interesting pieces of information from when it is time for that.

Instead I stuck to an article on the miracle on the Hudson River, where (you know) a pilot managed to land a couple of weeks ago after he received a bunch of canada geese in the engines. The author noted that this was not unusual. Between 1990 and 2008 had 103 plan managed to collide with those birds. Interesting was that some smaller airborne animals also accounted for a lot of airplane crashes:

80 turtles, 146 skunk, and 33 normal dogs.

Now we assume that these are not collided with the plan when the flight had been left the runway, but simply walked over the same at the wrong time. Statistics are fun.

Now I dream of a sausage with mash but eat crispbread and nuts. Not so bad either.

PS: Congratulations Stefan. 51 is also an age.
